Portal's Impact on the MXNB Hackathon

Empowering Developers with Ready-to-Use Repositories

Our primary goal was to eliminate boilerplate setup so developers could focus on building. To achieve this, Portal launched a suite of hackathon kit repositories, each tailored to a popular development environment:

• Android 
• iOS 
• React Native
• Web (Typescript)
• Enclave MPC API

These kits made it easy to:

• Create embedded MPC wallets.
• Leverage Portal’s SDKs for stablecoin functionality.
• Build without needing deep blockchain knowledge.

For example, participants used Portal to spin up account abstraction (AA)-enabled wallets that could hold and transfer MXNB over Arbitrum.

Dedicated Support and Guidance

Beyond tooling, we knew developer support was essential. Portal hosted two office hours sessions, giving participants direct access to our team for:

• Real-time troubleshooting
• Technical guidance
• Feedback on implementation

This proactive support not only smoothed the development journey but also fostered a collaborative environment where participants could focus on innovation.

Core Functionality for Hackathon Success

Portal’s SDKs provided key functions that proved invaluable:

• Generate a Wallet – Creates key shares on both local devices and Portal servers, supporting EVM chains, Solana, and more.
• Send MXNB – Signs and broadcasts transactions via RPC, enabling token transfers between participants.

Our APIs simplified essential tasks:

Get Assets - Returns fungible assets (native, ERC-20, SPL tokens) for a given chain.

Get Transactions - Returns a list of historic transactions associated with a client for a given chain.

Build a Transaction - Send Asset - Builds a formatted transaction to send a fungible asset for a given chain.

Evaluate a Transaction - Simulates a transaction and/or scans it for security concerns.

These features collectively ensured that developers could efficiently integrate wallet infrastructure, manage assets, and build secure applications with confidence.
