Portal’s SOC 2 Type 2 certification renewed

Portal has once again received SOC 2 Type 2 certification, a widely recognized industry standard that evaluates a company’s security and operational controls based on the AICPA’s Trust Services Criteria (TSC): security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. This renewal attests to our continued commitment to designing and building a secure and compliant platform and the hard work of our team in implementing the appropriate risk management strategies and complying with security regulations.

The value of SOC 2 Type 2 certification

The first half of 2024 saw significant crypto hacks and exploits, according to TRM Labs, with $1.38B USD stolen between January 1 and June 24, compared to $657M the same time last year. As the Web3 industry continues to expand and user adoption grows, the importance of partnering with companies with mature security programs will grow as well.

SOC 2 Type 2 certification confirms that Portal follows strict security controls, policies, and procedures when handling confidential user information and verifies that we can reliably identify and manage security risks.
