Portal announces support for Flutter apps

Builders can now add Portal wallets to their Flutter apps on iOS and Android. Flutter, an open-source cross-platform framework for building apps, has a growing developer user base, gaining market share against ReactNative. Its use of native compilation optimizes it for smooth interfaces and fast performance, a key reason for its growing popularity. Portal recognized the move of its customers to becoming multi-surface or mobile-first and thus wants to be accessible for developers using all prominent frameworks.

Recently, Meru chose Portal for its wallets partly due to its full compatibility with Flutter, enabling seamless embedding into Meru’s mobile app without disrupting design or user experience, ensuring a smooth and familiar interface for users.

To integrate Portal wallets into a Flutter app, developers will need to write custom platform-specific code using platform channels. Read more in our docs.
