Bitcoin support live on Portal

You can now send and receive Bitcoin with Portal! With our new Bitcoin Segwit (P2WPKH) wallet address support, developers can create Bitcoin wallets for their users with no additional setup.

Today, you can view BTC Segwit addresses when looking at wallet details and send BTC using Portal’s existing Send Assets endpoint. With a single API call, users can securely transfer Bitcoin using Portal’s MPC and Enclave infrastructure with Taproot (P2TR) support on the roadmap and coming soon.

Bitcoin support is just the start; we continue to expand Portal’s multi-chain coverage while keeping your user experience simple and secure.
